When Catie and James reached out to me to take photos for their one-year wedding anniversary, I was all over it!! How fun that they chose to have a Florida adventure session to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary! Catie and James were traveling to Florida for some family time over the holidays. They knew that they wanted photos in a park with nature surrounding them. Another aspect they were dreaming of was having some Spanish architecture.

I did some scouting for them, driving around and doing some research to find the perfect locations that were about an hour away from each other. We found the best of the bes: A park that had the trees and greenery that they were wanting, a museum and city hall that had the perfect Spanish architecture, and we also ended the day heading to the pier at the beach.

Adventure sessions are one of my favorite parts of the job. It gives me the opportunity to just have fun with my couples, explore new places or places I have been before, and make something magical out of the day! These kinds of sessions are definitely where we get to become BFFs. I try to make the sessions fun and enjoyable. If you want to have a picnic in the middle of the beach, chug a beer, or toast with a glass of wine, I am down for it all!

And this was no different when Catie and James reached out for their Florida adventure session. We had a great time, exploring downtown; sweating in the sun at the park (props to Catie for wearing a sweater!), having a blast at the beach, and taking photos on the pier. It looks like no one was around, but the beach was booming that day. They did not care that people were watching and they just had a grand ol’ time.
